Mini Tornado Hits Townsville

skynews_730777

At approximately 5am this morning a mini cyclone that people all over the country are calling a mini tornado forced its way through 3 of Townsville’s suburbs Aitkenvale, Heatley & Vincent. It approached with hardly no warning to Townsville & its residents and with extremely destructive winds of up to 111km/hr.

The locals are saying the area the felt the full weight of the suprise storm appeared to be between Mooney & Palmerston Street & continued down Ross River Road. Houses in both Vincent & Aitkenvale sadly lost roofs & others reporting a shocking number of trees & debris that had landed on cars, power lines & on the road.

It has been confirmed that police & emergency services were right on the scene & a clean up is already under way. At this stage we have spoken to many tenants who have been affected by the storm. We are all working hard to assess all damage right away & notifying all landlords whose properties were sadly struck by mother nature early this morning.

From all of us at Coral Sea Property Management, I hope you are all safe & sound. If there is anything we can do to help please contact us right away & we will help as much as we can to make sure everyone is safe.
